Northern Tanzania is known for its vast wilderness, spectacular wildlife sightings, and UNESCO-listed landscapes. Get access to some of Africa’s most famous northern national parks. This safari is flexible according to your preferences and adaptable to changes in weather or animal migratory patterns. Start at Tarangire National Park to see elephants and baobab trees. At the Serengeti, see the Great Migration of 2 million wildebeests. Finish at Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.
A member of our team will meet you at your hotel to give you the briefing and all the necessary information regarding your safari to Tarangire National Park and answer all the questions that you might have, then transfer to Zanzibar Airport. Leaving Zanzibar airport at 08h00, arrive in Arusha at 09h15; received by our safari guide. You will travel up to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch which is the surprise package on the Northern circuit. Often overshadowed by the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire has immense concentrations of game in the peak months and a fraction of the visitors that go to any of the other Northern parks. The game viewing here from July through to October is superb and the atmosphere and habitat is completely different from the other parks. The real prizes in the park are dwarf mongoose, Oryx and generuk but viewings are very rare. Tarangire is one of Tanzania's finest birding destinations. Later drive back to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight.
After early breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) arriving in time for a game drive in the park with a picnic lunch. Serengeti National Park with its endless rolling plain is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Its Ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth, the nutritious grassland and water attracts a larger number of wildlife. On this day of your 5 days of Serengeti safari fly-in, you will follow the wildebeest Migration if packed in Serengeti. You may expect to see some thrilling animal actions like eating, fighting, hunting and sometimes killing. Animals to be seen are herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, elephant, hippos and many antelopes. A good number of predators have inhabited this Park which includes lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and the ever-elusive leopard. Serengeti is also home to countless bird species like the ostrich, secretary bird, herons, crane crown & many more. later on drive proceeds to Osero Serengeti Tented Camp arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.
Breakfast in the morning, followed by the option for a full-day safari game drive with picnic lunch or two half-day game drives returning to camp for lunch. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Later in the evening, you will enjoy dinner, a bonfire and overnight at Osero Serengeti Tented Camp or Similar Accommodation.
After early breakfast, we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater and later on proceed to Karatu/Crater rim at Eileen’s Trees Inn arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park arriving in time for a morning game drive in the park with a picnic lunch and later on drive back to Arusha arriving in time at the airport for your flight back to Zanzibar departing at 16:35.
