Most visitors come to Zanzibar for its beautiful beaches, but you shouldn’t miss out on experiencing its eclectic cultural heritage. This tour is led by a social enterprise and lets you experience Swahili culture. You’ll have the chance to relax and enjoy the healing waters of an ancient sacred cave, watch traditional dancing, join local musicians in a jam session, and experience Zanzibar beyond the beaches.
Relax and enjoy the healing waters of an ancient sacred cave. Meet local Tanzanians and our musician friends who drop in most days. Join a jam session, and something beyond beaches: Cave Swimming, African Dancing, Drumming and Zanzibar History. Kuza Cave is managed in partnership with the traditional owners in Kibigija Village.
10:00 am - Arrive at Kuza Cave Swim in the crystal clear cave water. Enjoy the peaceful jungle. See archaeological artifacts from the cave and a timeline of Swahili history going back to the beginning of our story as humans originating in East Africa. 11:30 am. We are a social enterprise that supports local artists and musicians who often drop in for an afternoon of traditional African drumming and dancing. 2:00 pm – Finish.
